この規格は、当社の自動車部品に装飾、防食、耐摩耗性向上の目的で施される表面処理 のうち、めっき、化成皮膜及び溶射・盛金関係の規格一般事項及び共通事項について規定する。た だし、次のものは除く。

（１） めっき鋼板など素材に施された表面処理

（２） 加工工程内において施される表面処理

（３） 浸炭、窒化、高周波焼き入れなどの熱処理に属するもの。

（４） 塗装

This standard covers the general and common requirements of the specifications for surface finishes such as plating, chemical conversion treatment, thermal spraying and overlay applied to the automotive parts for the purposes of ornamentation, corrosion prevention and wear resistance except the following treatment :

(1) Surface finishes applied to primarily-processed materials, for example, plating on steel sheets.

(2) Surface finishes applied to prevent corrosion during processing.

(3) Finishes by heat treatment including carburizing, nitriding, induction hardening, etc.
